Isaiah 10: Assyria as the Instrument of God's Anger
Isaiah pronounces woe on leaders who oppress the poor, then names Assyria as the instrument God uses to punish His people, though Assyria will be judged for its arrogant boasting. A remnant of Israel will return to God, and the Lord cuts down the advancing Assyrian army like a forest just short of Jerusalem.
