King Hezekiah mourns, asks Isaiah to pray, and lays Sennacherib's threatening letter before the LORD, praying that all nations will know He alone is God. The LORD rebukes Assyria's pride and promises to defend Jerusalem; His angel strikes the Assyrian camp, and Sennacherib is later killed by his sons.
