2 Kings 19: The LORD Delivers Jerusalem from Assyria
Hezekiah mourns and seeks Isaiah’s prayer, and when Sennacherib sends a threatening letter, he lays it before the LORD and prays. Through Isaiah, God condemns Assyria’s pride and promises to defend the city. That night His angel strikes the Assyrian camp, and Sennacherib goes home and is killed by his sons.
