Isaiah 48: Stubborn Israel Refined and Sent Out of Babylon
The LORD rebukes Israel for using His name insincerely and reminds them He foretold events so idols would get no credit. For His own name He restrains His anger, refines them through affliction, and sends His chosen ally against Babylon, then calls the exiles to leave joyfully, warning that the wicked have no peace.
