Isaiah 44: The Living God and Lifeless Idols
God promises to pour out His Spirit on Israel's descendants and declares Himself the eternal and only God. A satire shows a man cooking with half a log and worshiping the other half, and the chapter ends with God forgiving His people and naming Cyrus to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple.
