What this site is

Grasp the Gospel is a Bible comprehension quiz app. You read a chapter in your own copy of Scripture, then come here to take a short quiz on it. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site and what we do with it.

Using the site without an account

You can take quizzes as a guest without creating an account. In guest mode, we store a single cookie on your device to remember your chosen reading level (General or Theological). This cookie is session-only — it is not readable by any other site, is never sent anywhere but back to this server, and is cleared automatically when you close your browser. No guest quiz activity is saved on our servers.

Creating an account

If you register for an account, we collect and store:

• Your email address, used to identify your account and let you sign in.
• Your password — stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash. We never store or have access to your actual password.
• Your reading-level preference (General or Theological).
• Your quiz history — which questions you answered, your answers, and whether they were correct — so you can review your past attempts.

Signing in sets a single cookie (a signed session token) used only to recognize your account on future visits. It cannot be read or used by any other website.

What we don't do

We do not sell or share your information with third parties. We do not run advertising, and we do not currently use any third-party analytics or tracking services. Nothing you do on this site is used to build an advertising profile.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we'll remove it.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
