The nations and their rulers plot to overthrow the Lord and His chosen King, but God laughs at them and declares that His own King already reigns on Zion. The King announces God's decree naming him Son, heir of the nations, and the psalm warns rulers to honor the Son and blesses all who shelter in Him.
