Isaiah 40: Comfort for God's People
God announces pardon and comfort for Jerusalem, and a voice calls for a road to be readied for the LORD's coming. Human life fades but God's word endures; the coming God rules in power and tends His flock. No idol or nation compares with the tireless Creator, who gives fresh strength to all who hope in Him.
