Jeremiah 32: Jeremiah Buys a Field During the Siege
While Babylon besieges Jerusalem and Zedekiah holds him under guard, Jeremiah buys his cousin Hanamel's field at Anathoth and has Baruch store the deeds as a sign that land will be sold there again. Jeremiah prays, and God answers with judgment on the city and a lasting covenant of return.
