Lamentations 2: The Lord’s Anger Against Zion
God Himself acts like an enemy against Jerusalem, tearing down its walls and palaces and rejecting His altar and temple. The poet weeps over starving children, blames prophets who did not expose the people’s sin, and says the LORD did what He long decreed. Zion is urged to cry out, and she lays her ruin before Him.
