Isaiah 36: The Rabshakeh Taunts Jerusalem
After Sennacherib of Assyria takes Judah's fortified towns, his officer the Rabshakeh comes to Jerusalem to demand surrender. He mocks trust in Egypt and in the LORD, calls out his offer to the listeners on the wall, and boasts that no god has stopped Assyria, while the people stay silent.
