Nehemiah 13: Nehemiah’s Final Reforms
After a reading from the Law of Moses, the people exclude everyone of foreign origin from Israel. Back from King Artaxerxes, Nehemiah evicts Tobiah from a temple room, restores the Levites’ support, stops Sabbath trade, confronts foreign marriages, and drives off the high priest’s grandson, Sanballat’s son-in-law.
