Psalms 109: A Plea Against Lying Accusers

David, slandered and repaid with hatred for his love, asks God not to stay silent. A long string of curses follows against a man charged with hounding the poor, words Peter later applies to Judas. David then asks rescue on the basis of God's own name and ends vowing public praise to the LORD who defends the needy.
