2 Kings 9: Jehu Anointed and Jezebel Falls

Elisha sends a young prophet to anoint the army commander Jehu as Israel’s king, charging him to wipe out Ahab’s family for Jezebel’s murder of the prophets. Jehu races to Jezreel, kills King Joram on Naboth’s land, and has Ahaziah of Judah struck down. Jezebel is thrown from a window and dies, as Elijah foretold.
