Song of Solomon 1: The Woman Longs for Her Beloved

Solomon’s love song opens with a young woman longing for her beloved and telling the women of Jerusalem that working in her brothers’ vineyards under the sun has darkened her skin. She asks where he grazes his flock, and the two exchange words of praise.
