Psalms 79: A Lament Over Ruined Jerusalem

Asaph grieves that foreign nations have defiled the temple, ruined Jerusalem, and left the dead unburied. He asks how long the anger of God will last, pleads for forgiveness on the basis of the divine name, calls for justice on the mocking nations, and ends with a vow of lasting praise.
