Jeremiah 48: The Downfall of Proud Moab
Jeremiah foretells the ruin of Moab’s towns because it relied on its own deeds and riches and grew complacent and arrogant against the LORD. God Himself grieves over Moab even as He judges its pride and mocking of Israel, yet the oracle ends with a promise to restore Moab in days to come.
