Ezekiel 23: Oholah and Oholibah

God pictures Samaria and Jerusalem as two sisters, Oholah and Oholibah, whose reliance on Assyria, Babylon and Egypt and their idols is portrayed as adultery. Samaria falls to Assyria, yet Jerusalem sinks lower and must drink her sister's cup, and both stand condemned for child sacrifice and defiling God's temple.
