Isaiah 58: True Fasting and the Sabbath
God tells the prophet to expose a people who seem devout yet oppress workers and quarrel while they fast. The fast He wants is freeing the oppressed and caring for the hungry and homeless, which brings light, guidance and renewal, and He promises joy to those who honor His holy day.
