Hiram of Tyre sends builders for David’s palace, and David recognizes that God has made his kingdom secure for Israel’s good. Twice the Philistines raid, and each time David asks God first; he wins at Baal-perazim, burns their abandoned idols, wins again after a sign in the treetops, and grows famous among the nations.
